A Brief Background of Earle Gary Goodman

Earle Gary Goodman is an active member of the State Bar of California and has been AV rated for over the past 25 years and is listed in The Bar Register Of Preeminent Lawyers under real estate law. He is a graduate of UCLA with a degree in Economics and a graduate of the UCLA School of Law.

Earle comes from a long time Southern California real estate family which was noted for owning numerically one of the largest portfolios of Southern California real estate. He knows what it is like as a principal and attorney working with complex legal issues and managing an estate owning hundreds of properties. For over 10 years Earle served as General Counsel and later General Counsel and General Partner to his family owned limited partnership consisting of 10 closely and distantly related family members and 4 major charities and actively managed the orderly disposition of the partnership's hundreds of Southern and Central California real properties, many of which properties were also co-owned with up to 8 unrelated other families, each other family with multiple family beneficiaries. During this entire term there were never any legal actions filed against the partnership due to Earle's pragmatic analytical legal decisions, sound management policies and sensitivity towards the positions of others.

Earle Goodman has a substantial background in litigation and transactions. He began his legal career developing courtroom skills as a Deputy District Attorney for Los Angeles County. After entering private practice he represented parties in matters involving a broad spectrum of legal areas including criminal defense, real estate, business, probate and family law litigation, transactions involving real estate, business, partnerships, corporations, commercial and UCC contracts, employment and estate planning. With both a litigation and transaction background, Earle drafts sophisticated real estate, business, corporation and LLC agreements with the insight of a litigation attorney who litigates the weaknesses and flaws of a transaction and he represents parties in resolving real estate, business, LLC and corporation disputes with the insight of a transaction attorney who structures complex transactions. As a licensed real estate broker (BRE License No. 01096576), Earle understands the perspective of a broker as well as a principal and attorney in negotiating real estate purchase transactions and leases. Earle also has a substantial background in high end residential real estate construction. As a principal, Earle has personally owned, constructed and remodeled residential estates in Bel Air, Hollywood Hills and Malibu Point Dume Bluff.

Today Earle provides Personal General Counsel legal services to U.S. and international families, family businesses, family estates and entrepreneurs and represents his clients in sophisticated luxury estates, commercial real estate, portfolio, LLC, corporation and business transactions. Earle also prepares family business succession plans and estate plans with revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, intentionally defective grantor trusts, gift (Crummey) trusts, GRATS, irrevocable life insurance trusts and qualified personal residence trusts; and litigates probate and trust disputes to determine heirship, ownership, contest wills and trusts, cancel transfers of real estate and other assets to and from trusts, enforce contracts and compel distributions and accountings.
